How can I download my Figma files?

• You can easily export your Figma files. From the main menu, select File > Export. This will prompt you to save your project as a ZIP file.
• Alternatively, you can access your Figma files by going to File > Download. This will open the browser in which you can find the file and download it to your computer.
• How do I import my Figma files into a new project?
• To import your Figma files into a new project, start by creating a new project.
• From the main menu, select File > Import. You’ll see the following screen.
• Select the type of project you’d like to import.
• You’ll now see your Figma files in the bottom left corner of the page. Click “Add Files” to add them to the new project.
• Drag and drop your files from the bottom left corner into the project to add them.

Do I need to install Figma on my computer?

No, Figma is available as a web app. You don’t need to download anything to use it.

To start using Figma, you can just visit https://www.figma.com/ from your web browser.

How do I create a new project?

To create a new project, start by creating a new folder for your project.

Create a folder for your project and name it with the name of your project (e.g. If your project name is “jimmyspaghetti,” then your folder name would be “jimmyspaghetti.”)

Drag and drop your folders to the left side of the screen.

 

How do I import my design assets into Figma?

If you have access to the tools that were used to create your design assets, you can upload them into Figma by importing them from those tools. If you don’t have access to those tools, you can get access to them by buying a Design Center license.

How do I make design changes?

To make design changes, select an object by clicking on it in the top left corner of the app. You’ll see the Design and Sketch views.

Note: In the Sketch view, you’ll see a small preview of the design change you make.

No, you can just create a folder for your project. You can create a project if you have a Design Center license, but if you don’t have access to Design Center, you can create a project without one.

If you’d like to, you can rename the project folder.

Can I create a project in my Design Center account?

Yes, you can create a project in your Design Center account. To do so, go to File > New Project. You can then name the project.

If you want to make a copy of a project that you’ve created in Design Center, you can do so by going to File > Make a Copy.
